A panel of three judges (TBA) will select the winning entries.
Any artist may enter.

All entrants must sign in at the Art Center of Corpus Christi the day of the competition. Works must be original and completed in the Marina Arts District between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and must be submitted no later than 3:00 p.m. to judges located at the Ritz Theatre. All visual art forms and media are acceptable. Video or digital artwork will be accepted if the artist provides the means (and power) for it to be viewed – computer, TV screen, projector. Although we expect artists to have a plan for their finished piece; the artwork itself must be created on event day during the hours outlined. All artists must transport their work to the judging site. Participation Waivers will be signed at registration.
Winning entries will be placed on public display at the Ritz Theatre. The Marina Arts District may photograph and publish any for the artwork, and retains the right to display or sell copies of these works, and to use them for promotional purposes. Proceeds from the sale will fund subsequent yearsâ€™ Masterpiece in a Day activities.
Finished works of art should be no larger than 40 X 40 inches, however, the final piece does not have to be a square or flat and should be a size that you can easily transport to the judging site.
Each work of art must be labeled with name, email address or phone number, title, media, date, suggested retail price. Label must be securely attached to the back of frame or bottom of sculpture.

|9:00 am||Art Competition Begins. Artists set up to work in one of the designated Masterpiece in a day art-making sites.|
|3:00 pm||All Art Category Competitions Officially End. Visual Art, Spoken Word and Musical Lyrics must be turned in at The Ritz Theatre. The work will be staged for judging and on display for the public to view.|
|3:30 pm||Â Art Parade start location is in the Nueces County Appraisal District parking lot on Chaparral and will conclude at The Ritz Theatre. Artists may join in the parade as it passes them to join in the procession and turn in their completed works.|
|4:00 – 5:00 pm||Art Work Judging site Ritz Theatre.|
